As has been widely reported in the media, during the summer od 2017 there was a change in the Youtube video with the most views: Despacito by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee became the number one video by views, by overtaking Gangnam Style by PSY who held the number one stop for a number of years. In August 2017 when this post is being written, Despacito has nearly 3.5 billion views and we are certain that it will soon reach 5 billion views!

But a similar change also occured in the top Greek YouTube videos. The song “Thelo an me niosis” (I want you to feel me) by Nikos Vertis overtook “I pio orea stin Ellada” (“The most beautiful in Greece”) by Constantinos Koufos (Personas). In August 2017 “Thelo an me niosis” became the first Green language YouTube video to reach 50 million views!
